Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker Occupation In-Demand category opened and closed on June 7, 2018. The sub-category, Occupation is Demand is now open for applications, says official website of the government of Saskatchewan.
This was the first intake of 2018 announced by the Saskatchewan government for this particular sub-category.
The Government of Saskatchewan opened the sub-category for only 400 applications and it only took an hour to fill completely. The most popular sub-category of Saskatchewan PNP program was opened for 1200 applications in last two intake periods.
The next intake of this particular category is expected within a couple of months as they need 2000 more applicants to meet their goal. Saskatchewan will be accepting a total number of 3600 applications during 2018.
Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker Occupation In-Demand sub-category accepts applications on a first come first served basis. The good thing about this category is that you don’t need any job offer to apply under this category.

How to Apply Under Saskatchewan Occupation In-Demand Category?
In addition to the following criteria, an applicant may apply if living outside Canada or have a valid proof of legal status in Canada. Moreover, refugee claimants are not eligible for this sub-category.
- Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) minimum score should be 4 at least. Nevertheless, employers or regulatory bodies have a right to ask for language scores more than CLB 4.
- Must have a minimum score of 60 out of 100 points with reference to SINP point assessment grid
- Applicants have successfully completed a post-secondary apprenticeship, training or education of at least one year in length, equivalent to the Canadian education system. An education degree, certificate or diploma should be furnished with the application.
- An experience of at least one-year work in the past 10 years is also required in the relevant field of training occupation or education. Must have a matrix level “A”, “B” or “0” regarding “High Skilled” occupation in the National Occupational Classification (NOC), which is in-demand in the province.
- A Valid proof of Saskatchewan licensure eligibility should be furnished. This clause is applicable only if the occupation you want to join falls under a compulsory apprenticeship trade or regulated profession.
- Need to provide proof of settlement funds and actual settlement plan.
