This update allows test takers to retake one of the four components of the IELTS test – reading, writing, speaking, or listening – on a one-time basis. Candidates who performed well in some areas but struggled in others on their initial test can benefit from the OSR option.

Currently, you can enjoy the benefits of the IELTS One Skill Retake with the British Council in Pakistan. But here’s the exciting part: it’s going global! Starting late in 2023, you’ll find it in selected British Council test locations worldwide.

Plus, it includes your original test scores and an overall CEFR score. Your results remain valid for two years from your initial test date, which you can find on your Test Report Form.

Requirement for Booking IELTS One Skill Retake

Here are the requirements for booking an IELTS One Skill Retake:

1. You are eligible to book the test if you’ve completed a full IELTS Computer test recently.
2. You should have received your test results from a center that provides the option of IELTS One Skill Retake.
3. Keep in mind that you can only retake a single skill once per original test, and you must take the One Skill Retake within 60 days of your initial test.

How Can I Took IELTS One Skill Retake?

Once you access your test taker portal, your IELTS scores will be visible. To enhance a specific score, just click the ‘Retake’ button for the skill you wish to redo.

Remember, you can only schedule a One Skill Retake once for each full IELTS on Computer test.
