The Australian immigration minister Peter Dutton, under the law, specified the following regulations:
Australian Immigration Regulations w.e.f. July 1, 2016
- Nullify instrument IMMI 15/092 (F2015L01059) and IMMI 15/108 (F2015L01147)
- Specify the occupations along with their 6-digit codes in schedule 1 and 2, to this instrument.
- Specify the following in relation to a person who is invited against subclass 189 or subclass 489 along with specifying relation to a spouse/de facto partner (if applicable):
- Each occupation listed in schedule 1
- The person/body listed in column D of schedule 1 being the assessing authority
- The country/countries listed against each occupation for whom the relevant authority is responsible
- Each skilled occupation listed in schedule 1 that is applicable to the person
- Specify the following in relation to a person applying against subclass 485
- A skilled occupation from column A, applicable to the candidate
- The person/body listed against column A is the assessing authority
- The country/countries listed as relevant authority against each occupation for skill assessment
- Applicable skill set from column A
- Specify the following in relation to a State/Territory Nominated person, person’s spouse/de facto or one who is invited for Subclass 190 or Subclass 489 (also in relation to the spouse/de facto if applicable):
- Occupations listed in Schedule 1 and Schedule 2
- The assessing authorities listed in Schedule 1 and 2 against each occupation
- The country/countries serving as relevant authorities under Schedule 1 and 2 for each skilled occupation
- Skilled occupations in schedule 1 and 2 applicable to the candidate
- Specify the occupation list in schedule 1 and schedule 2 for approval of a nomination against Subclass 186
- Specify the regulatory authorities corresponding to occupations in column A of schedule 1 and schedule 2 for Subclass 186 visa application
- Specify the occupations and their corresponding codes in schedule 1 and 2 for a training application against Subclass 402
- Specify the meaning of ANZSCO to be Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations published by the Australian Bureau of Statistics
- All specifications are to be interpreted as per the notes attached for qualifications
