During an intake period on April 5, 2018, the Masters Graduate Stream offered by Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program outreached its intake limit within an hour.
The Masters Graduate Stream serves as a most viable pathway to seek Canadian immigration for international graduates, who are studying in the Ontario universities. Just like the Ph.D. Graduate Stream, this particular stream is also designed specifically for the international graduates. Moreover, the candidates don’t require a job offer to apply for the Canadian immigration.
According to a statement released by the Ontario government, the Masters Graduate Stream would open and close periodically during 2018. This is so as Ontario is trying to fulfill its federal nomination allocation limits. Another stream, which was opened on 29 January and outreached its intake limit on the same day, is the ‘International Masters Graduate stream’.

The OINP’s International Student Category offers Ph.D. Graduate and Masters Graduate Streams. Both these streams work outside the ambit of Express Entry system. After obtaining nominations through these streams, the applicants may then receive a ‘Base’ provincial nomination certificate. This permits them to submit an application to the federal government of Canada with a view to seeking Canadian permanent residence.
The candidates who are eligible and fulfill the criteria for any one of above-mentioned streams, they can file an application through OINP’s online e-Filing Portal during next intake period.
