Ontario Invited 2,349 Candidates in Health Occupations

On May 8, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) held a draw under the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities stream, which selected 2,349 invitations for Canadian immigration, specifically aimed at healthcare occupations. The selected candidates had Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores ranging from 427 to 482.

Occupations are Considered in the Draw

Numerous occupations within the healthcare sector were considered by the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) in their recent draw. These occupations are classified by National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes and include:

The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) account of Express Entry pool applicants is notified of their selection through a Notification of Interest.

Once selected the applicants are given 45 days to submit their complete application.

Criteria for the Ontario Express Entry under Human Capital Priorities Stream?

To be eligible for the Ontario Express Entry: Human Capital Priorities Stream, applicants must have an active profile in the Federal Express Entry system and meet the requirements for either the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) or the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Applicants must have at least one year of full-time, or full-time equivalent, work experience within the past five years under National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill levels 0, 1, 2, or 3 if applying under the FSWP, or within the past three years if applying under CEC. Additionally, applicants must hold the equivalent of a Canadian bachelor’s degree or higher and demonstrate language proficiency at a minimum CLB/NCLC level 7 in English or French. Applicants must also intend to reside in Ontario and provide proof of required settlement funds. Finally, applicants must have legal status in Canada if applicable and meet the minimum Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System score as determined by the director during periodic draws.
