Through a draw conducted on March 27, 23 entrepreneur candidates received invitations to apply (ITAs) for the Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP).
Out of 23 candidates, 22 received invitations under the (NSNP)’s Entrepreneur Stream. This particular stream is ideal for the senior business managers or experienced business owners, who are willing to settle in the province. Only one invitation was awarded through the International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream of NSNP. The most essential and first step for those who want to take part in any one of these programs is to file an Expression of Interest with the NSNP.

The invitations under the Entrepreneur Stream follow the procedure adopted in previous draws of February 20 and January 16. These draws invited 49 entrepreneur candidates to apply and if successful, seek the NSNP’s approval. The successful candidates can submit a complete application within 90 calendar days. This time period starts from the date when the Invitation to Apply (ITA) is issued.
The entrepreneur is bound to start a new business or buy an existing business after getting approval through NSNP and obtaining a work permit from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Moreover, the successful entrepreneurs should also participate actively in their day-to-day business activities. Once the entrepreneur continuously operated the business for not less than a year, he/she may seek nomination from Nova Scotia to get Canadian permanent resident.
