On January 23, 2024, a recent draw from the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) issued over 215 invitations to apply for permanent residency. These invitations were given through both general and targeted draws.
Details of General British Columbia PNP Draw
In the general draw, which covers 35 different technology-related occupations, a total of 79 invitations were issued. These invitations were distributed among eligible applicants under the Express Entry and BC PNP Skills Immigration streams.
The minimum required score, known as the cutoff score, has not changed across all streams in the general draw compared to the previous round of invitations held on January 10, 2023.
Targeted British Columbia PNP Draw
66 invitations were sent to individuals with backgrounds as assistants or instructors in early childhood education (NOC 42202).
Moreover, British Columbia’s new category-based draw invited only 34 applicants with experience in 25 construction-related occupations.
Furthermore, 36 individuals with profiles highlighting experience in 39 healthcare-related occupations received invitations to apply for permanent residency.
