For those who want to migrate to British Columbia, they have a GOOD NEWS! The requirements of points to apply for British Columbia Nominee Program has decreased across all categories managed under BC’s unique Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).
During recent draws conducted on August 16 and August 23, BC issued 446 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to the candidates of British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP). The draw of 23rd August was a specific ‘tech-only’ draw. British Columbia started this new initiative in May 2017. The graduates, as well as Non-tech workers, may have received an invitation to apply (ITA) on August 16.
Let’s take a look below to check the minimum required points,
Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS)
Interested individuals, who are eligible in all respects, can apply for Canadian immigration through specific categories associated with BC PNP. Five of these categories were also included in these draws. However, the applicants must seek successful entry into “Skills Immigration Registration System” (SIRS) pool.
Each candidate receives particular points score after getting their legitimate entry into the particular pool. This score depends on various factors such as education, work experience, civil status etc. The government of BC issued ITAs through periodic draws to those candidates who have scored highest ranking in the SIRS pool.
BC PNP Nomination Certificate
After obtaining ITAs, these candidates can apply through BC PNP provincial nomination program. The candidates will get additional 600 points under the Comprehensive Ranking System and an Invitation to Apply (ITA) during an upcoming draw, once they receive a BC PNP nomination certificate.
