In the most recent Ontario Express Entry Draw, held under the Human Capital Priorities (HCP) stream, a group of 748 candidates were selected to receive provincial nomination invitations.
This provincial nomination is particularly valuable as it grants an additional 600 points to the candidates’ Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. These extra points greatly increase their chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the next Express Entry draw. By offering this opportunity, Ontario aims to simplify the immigration process for skilled individuals who wish to settle in the province and contribute to its growing workforce.
The latest Ontario Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw focused on Express Entry profiles that were created within the timeframe of July 6, 2022, to July 6, 2023.
Selected Occupations
The Ontario Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) has issued Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to Express Entry profiles that fall within the CRS score range of 479-485. These NOIs are specifically targeting individuals with expertise in nine technology-related occupations, which are listed below:
Updates on Ontario’s Tech Targeted Draw and Human Capital Priorities (HCP) Milestones in 2023
The recent Tech targeted draw by the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has witnessed a slight increase of 4 points in the lower range of the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cutoff score, as compared to the previous draw held in May 2023.
Express Entry profiles that have received invitations now have a 45-day window to claim their provincial nomination.
In the previous OINP Human Capital Priorities (HCP) draw, a remarkable milestone was achieved with the issuance of 2,349 invitations. This draw specifically targeted 42 healthcare occupations, surpassing the previous record set on May 5, 2023, OINP HCP Draw, which focused on 9 Tech occupations and invited 1,863 candidates.
Since the beginning of 2023, the OINP has extended invitations to a total of 8,499 Express Entry profiles across 7 HCP stream drawings.
It is important to note that candidates in the Express Entry pool are automatically considered for the Human Capital Priorities stream and are not required to register separately with Ontario. However, it is advisable to select Ontario as the province of destination when creating the Express Entry profile to express interest in the OINP.
The OINP regularly scans the Express Entry pool and issues notifications of interest to selected profiles that meet the specific draw criteria.
