The Canadian Immigration Department IRCC has surprised everyone with a large draw on December 22, 2016. There was an Express Entry Draw a week ago, so no one expected another draw in this year especially not that large.
On December 22, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has sent 2,878 invitations, which is the maximum number since the launch of Express Entry. They have invited the candidates to apply for permanent residence with 475 points.
In past few months, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada announced that there will be more regular draws as compared to the past few years. Also, you will notice an increase in the number of ITAs and a decrease in the CRS cut-off point. So, IRCC has kept their words and surprised everyone!
Express Entry December Draws Results
IRCC uses the Express Entry System to finalize applicants for Canadian Immigration through the federal economic immigration programs. If you want to apply under the Federal Skilled Trades Class, Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Worker Class, you need to go through Express Entry system.
First of all, you create a profile and if you found eligible, it is submitted to the Express Entry Pool. Every candidate has a particular CRS score and ranking in the pool as per their score. During each Express Entry Draw, candidates with the highest ranking in the pools are selected.
In previous few months, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has made few changes in Express Entry System. The aim behind these changes is to provide more chances to candidates in getting selected depending on their skills, experience, and human capital.
