According to a recent report co-released by the Technology Councils of North America (TECNA) and Canada’s Tech Network (CTN), Canada has successfully integrated over 32,000 highly skilled technology experts into its workforce within a one-year timeframe.
The new research from The Technology Councils of North America sheds light on the rise of Canada’s tech labor pool, which can be allocated to an open and growth-oriented immigration policy. According to the research, Canada welcomed 32,000 technology experts in the previous year, from April 2022 to March 2023.
Reason Behind the Massive Growth in Workforce in Canada
The reason for this growth is mainly because Canada has friendly immigration policies and offers cost advantages for labor. The research also ranks the most appealing Canadian locations for top tech talent, with Mississauga, Ontario topping the list, closely followed by Montreal, Quebec, and Waterloo, Ontario.
