British Columbia has conducted a draw under Provincial Nominee Program on 10th of May 2017. They have invited 364 graduates and workers to submit their application. As compared to the previous draw on 19th of April, there is 77 percent increase in the number of invitations. This indicates the rise in demand for graduates and workers in British Columbia.
Candidates who are invited under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) should apply for a provincial nomination certificate. Once they receive the certificate, they can apply for the permanent citizenship.
For those who want to receive the Invitation to Apply (ITA), you must register through SIRS. SIRS is a point-based system that determines your point score depending on your education, language, work experience, age, etc. Candidates who have the maximum points in the pool are invited to apply by the province.
The minimum required points score for Skilled Worker and International graduate sub-categories has dropped in the recent draw as compared to the previous draw. What does it indicate? Well, it’s easy to guess! It indicates that you have more chances to receive ITA by British Columbia if you apply NOW!
Let’s take a look at below table that describes the number of people invited under each category and what was the minimum score.
