On August 9, 2023, the most recent draw conducted by the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) resulted in the issuance of 195 invitations for individuals to apply for permanent residency (PR). These invitations were issued through a combination of general draws and targeted draws, reflecting the program’s inclusive approach to selection.
It was a category-based draw in which candidates were invited from different occupations as follows:
General Draw (Tech Occupations)
A total of 139 invitations have been issued through the general draw. Among these, 35 invitations are specifically designated for applicants with expertise in technology-related occupations. The draw occurred under the both British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program’s Skills Immigration streams, as well as the Express Entry streams. To qualify, candidates need to attain a minimum score ranging between 88 and 110.
Targeted Draw (Childcare Occupations)
Furthermore, 34 invitations have been issued with a focus on individuals possessing expertise as Early Childhood Educators and Assistants (NOC 42202). A minimum score of 60 is required for eligibility.
Targeted Draw (Healthcare Occupations)
A total of 22 invitations have been allocated for individuals within 39 healthcare-related occupations.
