British Columbia PNP Draw: 211 Applicants Selected for PR on June 13, 2023

June 15, 2023BY Sheraz

The latest draw of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) occurred on June 13, 2023. During this draw, a total of 211 invitations were issued to candidates, providing them with the opportunity to apply for permanent residency (PR) in British Columbia. These invitations were distributed through both general draws and targeted draws.

General Draw Results

In the general draw, a sum of 170 invitations has been issued, covering profiles from various sectors, including the technology occupations. This draw aimed to attract skilled individuals who possess the qualifications and experience to contribute to the province’s workforce and economy.

Targeted Draw Results

Targeted draw results in which health care and child care occupations selected.

In addition to the general draw, the BC PNP also conducted targeted draws on June 13, 2023. These draws aimed to specifically invite individuals with experience as Early Childhood Educators and assistants (NOC 42202) and those working in 39 healthcare-related occupations. A total of 23 invitations were sent to Early Childhood Educator profiles, while 18 invitations were targeted at healthcare-related occupations.

Cutoff Scores: Consistency and Exceptions

The cutoff scores for eligibility remained the same across all categories in comparison to the previous BC PNP general draw. However, there was a slight increase of 2 points for the Entry Level and Semi-Skilled stream. This adjustment aimed to ensure a fair and accurate selection process for the respective categories.

Skilled Immigration Stream Under BC PNP

Skilled Immigration Stream Under BC PNP

The BC PNP Skills Immigration stream presents a promising opportunity for skilled workers and international graduates who possess the necessary skills and experience required to make significant contributions to the British Columbia economy. Eligible candidates may be issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency in Canada through this stream.

But it’s important to understand that the BC PNP is a very competitive program. The eligibility requirements by themselves do not ensure a nomination. It is essential to make sure that your application is solid and thorough to improve your chances of success. This involves providing the relevant paperwork and portraying your credentials and experience in the best possible light.

You can increase your chances of being nominated through the BC PNP Abilities Immigration stream and ultimately pursue your goal of gaining permanent residency in Canada by carefully preparing your application and emphasizing your abilities and accomplishments.
