The BC province issued 602 invitations to apply (ITA) for candidates who are interested in Canadian immigration through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP). The three categories for issued ITAs include:
- Express Entry BC – Skilled Worker
- Express Entry BC – International Graduate
- Skills Immigration – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled
BC PNP Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) operates the ITA-based immigration. The system was introduced earlier this year.
This system issues ITAs for provincial selection on a priority basis. The applicants are awarded score on the basis of information provided. The candidates can check their potential score on the exclusive SIRS Calculator.
The BC PNP: Base and Enhanced Categories
BC PNP has two categories. The Federal Express Entry Canadian immigration selection aligned ‘Enhanced Categories’ and the remaining are called ‘Base Categories’.

If a prospective candidate is successful in having an approved application under the enhanced category, he will receive an additional 600 points on Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). He will also receive an ITA from the Express Entry Pool draw. This ITA will be recognized at the federal level.
BC PNP Invitations to Apply: August 4 Draw
The draw on August 4 issued ITAs across the following categories:

Express Entry BC – Skilled Worker
This is aimed at international skilled workers who aim to live and work in Canada. They have post-secondary education or training. They also have an experience in a professional, management, technical, trade or other skilled occupation.

Express Entry BC – International Graduate
This category is for international students who have received their graduation degrees from Canadian universities or colleges within past 2 years. The graduates can be from any college or university countrywide.

Skills Immigration – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled
The candidates who are ineligible for other Canadian immigration categories can apply through this stream. The eligibility criteria require the candidates to have a work experience in an eligible occupation including tourism/hospitality, long-haul trucking, or food processing industries, or in an NOC skill level C or D occupation in the Northeast Development Region of the province.
