The Department of home affairs announced an increase in points requirements for Subclass 189, 190, 489. Australia immigration plan 2018-2019 have left many in shock. People who were trying to migrate to Australia with 60 points need to revise their strategy. You are no more eligible to apply for Australia. What??? Yes, it is true!
Australia points requirements changed after July 1, 2018. How many points are required for subclass 189 in 2018? How many points are required for subclass 190 in 2018? How many points are required for subclass 489 in 2018? The minimum points requirement for Australia is now 65 for all Australian Immigration subclasses including subclass 189, subclass 489 and subclass 190.
Australian Immigration changes on 1st July 2018 has been announced a bit earlier and a little bit worrying as well. Although, it was expected that Australia is going to increase its point system for Subclass 189 in 2018/2019 immigration fiscal year. But, it was expected that Subclass 190 and 489 will have the same eligibility criteria.
Australia immigration plan 2018-2019 has affected those who had the minimum eligibility points. The minimum eligibility criteria until June 2018 is 60. But, all the invitations to apply after June 2018 will be issued on 65 or more points. You will be considered ineligible if you have fewer points and your Expression of Interest will be refused.
The Changes in Points system in Australia will not affect those who have 65 or more points.
A GOOD NEWS!!!! Immigration South Australia has announced that they are currently priority processing before 1 July 2018. They are trying to process your Express of Interest on urgent basis for subclass 489 if you have 60 points only. Those who submitted applications earlier might be lucky to have an ITA before Australia points requirements changes after July 1, 2018.
Immigration Australia increased the points requirements for all subclasses. Immigration South Australia will prioritize Subclass 190 after they successfully complete the cases of Subclass 489 with 60 points.
Australia recent changes in points system will break the hearts of thousands who were trying to seek Australian Immigration. The positive side of this change is that Australian Immigration department will start issuing more Invitations. Immigration Australia is currently providing a small number of invitations in each Skill Select Draw. Once the current changes become applicable, people who have more than 65 points will start getting their invitations.
