The Australian Department of Immigration has announced few important changes to points test for skilled migration. They have also initiated a new visa for entrepreneurs. The following changes come into effect on September 10th, 2016.

The skilled migration program of Australia will now provide extra five points to those who have studied in an Australian institute.

The offer is available for students with doctorate-level. It is also available for those who has masters by research qualifications in information technology, engineering, science, communication technology, mathematics, and technology fields.

The purpose of this major change is to attract the “best” skilled people and make them work for Australia.

There are few requirements for this visa, but once you fulfill them, you will be granted with the permanent residency in Australia.

What Are The Requirements for this Entrepreneur Visa?

1. The age of applicants should be under 55 years old.
2. The candidates should be able to speak English.
3. The applicants should make an agreement for a minimum of two hundred thousand dollars to grow your entrepreneurial venture in Australia.
4. In this entrepreneurial venture, the applicant should have at least 30% interest.
5. At the last, an applicant should be nominated by federal of state government.

The candidates are allowed to get funds from territory government, Commonwealth agencies, registered investors, publically funded research organizations, and state government.
