The Canberra Matrix invitation round for the 2024–2025 program year was the initial one. The skilled work regional (provisional) visa (Subclass 491) or the skilled nominated visa (Subclass 190) are available to those who are successful in their application.

Small Business Owners: Only three ITAs have been granted by Canberra in this category to applicants who meet the minimum matrix score requirements of 1 or 2, respectively, for the Subclass 190 and 491 visas.
Holders of visas 457 and 482: A total of 8 invites for the 190 and 491 visa subclasses were sent out under this category.
Critical Skill Occupations: Canberra has sent out the greatest invites for ACT nominations—172—to individuals who have applied for both the 190 and 491 visas under this category.
