Canada Study Visa – Everything You Need to Know From Eligibility to Visa Fees

June 7, 2024BY Sheraz

Canada remains a popular destination for many foreign students seeking higher education. Gaining admission to leading Canadian universities requires outstanding academic performance, and a study permit grants the authorization to study there. For international students, the fee for a Canada study visa is CAD 150.

To study in Canada, students need to apply for a Temporary Resident Visa through the Canadian High Commission, with assistance from Visa Application Centers. When students arrive in Canada, they receive a study permit. This permit, issued by Canadian immigration authorities, is essential for international students to enroll in Designated Learning Institutions (DLIs). Since processing times can be as long as three months, it is advisable to apply early.

Starting in May 2024, international students in Canada are allowed to work off-campus for up to 24 hours per week.
