On December 21, the most recent Express Entry draw granted 400 invitations for individuals to apply for permanent residency. These invitations specifically aimed at occupations related to agriculture and agri-food. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cutoff score for this draw was 386.

Overview of Express Entry Draw December 20, 2023

In the draw held on December 20, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) focused on 10 transport occupations and issued 670 invitations for permanent residency applications. The CRS cutoff score for this particular draw was 435.

7^th Express Entry Draw of December

On December 19, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted a draw focused on trade occupations, extending 1,000 invitations for individuals to apply for permanent residency. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cutoff score for this draw was set at 425.

This marks the 7th round of Express Entry invitations for December, following a pause in November 2023.

Express Entry Draw Details Held on December 18, 2023

The day before, on December 18, a general Express Entry draw encompassing all programs issued 1,325 invitations to apply (ITAs) for permanent residency (PR).

Notably, the CRS score for this draw decreased by 19 points compared to the similar Express Entry draw held on December 6th.

What is Express Entry?

Express Entry is a Canadian immigration system designed to manage the application process for skilled workers who wish to become permanent residents of Canada. It offers a shared platform for both federal and provincial governments. Moreover, it facilitates employers to choose prospective candidates out of the Express Entry pool. This Pool consists of such candidates, who stand eligible for any of the mentioned below “Federal Economic Immigration Programs”.

2. The Federal Skilled Worker Program
3. Canadian Experience Class

The candidates may receive an invitation to apply (ITA) for Canadian immigration. However, such candidates must hurry to complete their application form and submit it along with the required documents. The time for applying is 60 days and it takes six months from the date of receiving the application to complete the process.

The IRCC introduced a fresh set of selection criteria on May 31, 2023, placing a stronger emphasis on distinct professional and demographic attributes of candidates, going beyond their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. As a result, six new categories have emerged for Express Entry candidates:
