On June 20, 2023, the most recent British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) draw took place, where 144 invitations to apply issued for permanent residency (PR) through targeted draws.
This is a category-based draw. In the latest BC PNP draw, a category-based selection process was implemented, targeting specific occupations in the Technology sector, Early Childhood Education, and healthcare-related fields. This approach allowed the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program to align its invitations with the province’s specific labor market needs and priorities.
Here are the details of the BC PNP draw that took place on June 20, 2023:
Technology Occupations
Out of the total invitations issued, 107 were specifically directed toward 35 occupations in the Technology sector. These invitations were made available through both the BC PNP Skills Immigration and Express Entry streams, providing eligible candidates with an opportunity to pursue their PR aspirations in British Columbia.
Health Care Occupations
In addition, an additional 19 invitations were directed toward candidates in 39 healthcare-related occupations. This particular group of individuals was allowed to apply for permanent residency through the BC PNP draw.
Childhood Educators
Furthermore, a further 18 invitations were extended to individuals with experience as Early Childhood Educators and assistants (NOC 42202). These invitations were specifically tailored to applicants with expertise in this field.
