Canada – BC Invites 458 Workers and Graduates in a Latest Draw

The province of British Columbia (BC) sends invitations to 458 international graduates and workers on April 5, 2017. Through this latest draw, the eligible candidates may now apply to “British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program” (BC PNP).

The candidates managed by Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS), have received invitations to Apply (ITA). This particular certificate allows them to get provincial nomination certificate. In addition, the eligible candidate may apply for Canadian immigration once their application is duly approved.

Biggest Draw of 2017

The draw conducted on 5 April 2017 was the biggest, as compared to other draws conducted so far in 2017. There were total five sub-categories in this draw related to the Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration streams. The Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) manages all these categories.

Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS)

This is a specific points-based system, which works by ranking the eligible candidates and finalize their selection within various sub-categories. After getting registered through SIRS, the eligible candidates receive particular points score. This paves their way towards entering the pool for selection under a specific category.

A candidate may seek registration in only one category. The candidates having top-rankings may receive ITAs through various draws, conducted by the province in a periodic manner.
