British Columbia issued new invitations through Provincial Nominee Program

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) has invited 41 candidates to apply in a new round of

Tech-Pilot invitations held on November 21.

Having a one year full-time job offer in one of the pilot’s 29 in-demand occupations was mandatory for the Skills Immigration and Express Entry candidates.

After the provincial nomination applications are approved, the Canadian permanent residence applications of the Skilled Immigration candidates will be processed by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) outside the Express Entry system.

Candidates who have their provincial nomination applications approved under the Express Entry BC category will receive 600 points towards their overall Express Entry Comprehensive System (CRS) score. This will increase the candidate’s chance of getting an Invitation To Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in the next Express Entry draw.

A previous draw held on November 7th invited 35 candidates under these same categories.

The lowest profile score remained 80 for the Skilled Worker categories, while for the International Graduates it was 90.

How to apply for BC PNP?

The BC PNP operates through an online portal. All potential Skilled Worker and International Graduates need to submit an online profile and get registered under the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). Based on their credentials, candidates are assigned an SIRS score.

Note that the invited candidates will have only 30 calendar days to submit a complete application to the BC PNP and pay the required processing fee.
