OINP Express Entry Draw: Canada Invited 2,552 Skilled Professionals for PR on January 11, 2024

January 13, 2024BY Sheraz

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) held its initial Express Entry Draw for 2024 on January 11. This draw welcomed a remarkable 2,552 individuals to apply for provincial nomination.

To be eligible for an invitation, individuals needed to have a valid Express Entry profile formed between January 11, 2023, and January 11, 2024.

CRS Score for Latest OINP Express Entry Draw

Individuals with Express Entry profiles holding a CRS score within the range of 350–424 were eligible for invitations during the first Ontario Express Entry Draw of 2024 by the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). Moreover, having experience in any of the 49 skilled trade occupations was also a prerequisite for receiving the invitations.

Benefits of Receiving Provincial Nomination

The Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream draw doesn’t need a separate OINP profile. However, the profiles that receive invitations must be in one of the eligible trade occupations for this draw.

Upon receiving a provincial nomination, candidates get an additional 600 points added to their existing Express Entry profile.

If the individuals with invited profiles choose to accept the Ontario Provincial Nomination, their Express Entry CRS score will increase to a range between 950 and 1,024. In the year 2023, the Express Entry Skilled Trades stream of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) extended invitations to a total of 7,512 profiles.
