British Columbia issued new invitations through it’s Provincial Nominee Program. These candidates were registered under various categories of the Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC Streams, and can further apply for Canadian permanent residence
The current draw held on March 26 issued invitations to the Skilled Workers, International Graduates and Entry level and Semi-skilled Workers categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Skills Immigration and Express Entry British Columbia streams.
To enter the Express Entry BC stream, candidates need to submit an Express Entry profile.
Candidates invited under the Express Entry BC stream will receive an additional 600 points toward their overall Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
The remainder of the candidates nominated under the Skills Immigration Stream: Skilled Worker, Entry Level and Semi-Skilled, and International Graduate categories will have their permanent residence application processed with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) separate from the Express Entry system.
How the British Provincial Nominee Program works?
The eligible candidates first have to register with the BC PNP Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) and receive a registration score. SIRS is a unique points-based system used to evaluate candidates on their educational credentials, work experience and English or French language proficiency.
Having a full-time job offer with an eligible employer in British Columbia was one of the prerequisites for the candidates invited in the March 26 draw.
