Australian Immigration: APA/DUPRS Scholarships for Domestic and International Students, 2016

Deakin University Australia is offering Australian Postgraduate Awards (APA) and Deakin University Postgraduate Research Scholarships (DUPRS). These scholarships are aimed for both local as well as international students. So if you are looking forward to Australian immigration under a student visa, this is your chance.

These scholarships are available in all postgraduate study programs offered by Deakin University.

Application deadline for APA and DUPRS is July 31, 2016.

The applicants starting their postgraduate research in 2016 are eligible. Those already enrolled must have at least 12 months candidature for their research work.

If you already have an APA or DUPRS award you can not re-apply.

Eligibility Criteria:

Honours degree (undergraduate course + a year of assessed research) or:

• Master’s degree in research with at least two-third of the degree comprising a thesis graded 80%+
• Master’s degree in course work or graduate diplomas that must include a research project or thesis of 10,000 to 20,000 words to 80%+ standard and research methodology units
• Any comparable qualifications from international universities with a research project or thesis of 10,000 to 20,000 words, GPA 80%+
• Postgraduate research experience
• Journal articles, publications, or conference papers refereed independently
• Professional reporting or prior learning
• Research related awards or prizes
• Other evidence of research ability

The candidate must fulfil the English language requirements level as described by the course.

Initial research training in the subject with appropriate reports and documentation is preferred.

• An annual stipend of $26,288
• A relocation allowance up to $1840 for students who have undergone Australian immigration to study at Deakin or who have moved from interstate
• Paid sick, maternity and parenting leaves
• APA awarded candidates may also get a transfer to another university
