The figures mentioned above lack those invitations, which are related to visa subclasses nominated by State and Territory Government. State and Territory Governments provide nominations during the whole month for particular business innovation, investment visas and points tested skilled migration. The results of these visa subclasses are available separately on monthly basis.
Things to know about Invitation process and cut offs
Those clients having highest rank by points score may seek invitation to apply for their respective visa. The clients having equal point scores, get their invitation depending on the time at which they obtained specific point score for a particular subclass.
Expressions of Interest related to earlier dates of effect receive priority handling as compared to those sent later on. Because of the high levels of demand, following occupation groups will receive pro rata treatment. This will ensure availability of invitations throughout the program year.
SkillSelect gives priority to available places for Skilled – Independent visas (subclass 189) and then allocates remaining places to Skilled – Regional (Provisional) visas (subclass 489). In case, subclass 189 visas take all places then subclass 489 visas will not be able to receive even a single invitation.
